Personality:
To summarize the complexities that come with Kira in six words, one would say that she's cold, cruel, manipulative, cunning, an amazing liar, and more than a tad bit bossy.
Addressing the cold and cruel aspect of the girl, it's not obvious when looking at her. She gives off a sweet sense of happiness, one that is only banished when the girl opens her mouth. She loves to comment, usually in a demeaning and criticizing manner, and that's on her very best day. She'll leave her best friend out in the rain if it somehow benefitted her, metaphor or not. She rips her friends and family apart looking for their faults simply because those people were not her. In other words, she'll analyze everyone and everything for what she considers faults, then point them out loudly to the people around her. She hasn't really had the chance to excercise her ability to be as cruel as she is sure she can be, merely because of her young age. But she plans to immediately align with whomever is in power when she gets to be the age that she can separate from these ridiculous houses and go her own way and prove that she's just as good as those before her.
Kira has always been manipulative for as long as she could ever remember. She would always pretend to be nice to her friends, only to turn around and ask them to get this and that for her. This applied strongly to her family as well. She'd always pretend to be nice to everyone that wanted to friend her, only to have them on her side when she needed them. If they actually seemed to be worth her time, she'd let them in, actually calling them her friends. Though, honestly, does Kira sound like the type of girl who has actual friends?
Cunning and the ability to lie through teeth is the cliche trait of any Slytherin. Almost every one of them has it, especially Kira. She can trick just about anyone that doesn't have the ability to check and see if she's telling the truth, and she always uses this talent to her advantage. She's proud of this, which is another aspect of the girl that defines her to be ultimately cruel. In any case, she's tricked her fair share of people just to get something for herself.
Bossiness is natural in every first-born. Even only children, like Kira, have that trait. Though, Kira had always bossed her father, Yvgeni, and her mother, Aleksandra, around since she was little. Her father would dote on her constantly, allowing the little munchkin to get whatever she pleased. She'd also bossed around the maids and servants, taking advantage of the fact they are there to serve her and they must comply with her every demand and wish, no matter how ridiculous or simple-minded it is.
History:
October 19th, 3:55 PM. The moment Yevgeniy Narimanov will always remember as the day their daughter and only child was born. The overzealous parent was already pointing out characteristics of himself in the little girl in his arms. The nurses in the Moscow Hospital informed Yevgeniy that the light hair may or may not change, the facial shape isn't permanent, and such things. Regardless, it was at that moment that Yevgeniy Narimanov had decided that this was his new life, and he'd fend for it until the end.
As soon as Kira was taken home, the Narimanov's of Yevgeniy's side rushed in to greet the new girl. Aleksandra's family was no where to be seen; no one had heard from them in over 30 years. Kira had always grown up feeling that she was adored by the Narimanovs and her father, but only thought of in a minor sort by her mother. She wasn't entirely far off; Aleksandra was admittedly jealous that Yevgeniy was now devoting his attention to his daughter, instead of to her. Kira didn't care that her mother was jealous; she loved Yevgeniy and the other Narimanovs more than she was sure she could ever love Aleksandra.
Yevgeniy always had fawned over the girl. Kira was spoiled greatly by him, getting all the attention and toys she ever could have needed, let alone wanted. Anything that would satisfy her heart's desire was given to her (usually it was something materialistic), which Kira took in without even bothering to thank whomever was giving her something new. Aleksandra had, for the most part, disowned Kira by this time, leaving Yevgeniy to raise Kira on her own. He was oblivious to Aleksandra's cold behavior, nor did he care; he loved Kira enough for the both of them.
Many times Kira had used her father as a threat to her mother. The two of them would argue as though there were no tomorrow. Each of these little arguements would end abpruptly when Kira would spill the line, "I'm going to tell my father on you, then you'll get it". This would alway spike jealousy in Aleksandra, which led to her leaving the room, letting Kira have the feeling she had bested over Aleksandra. Kira was never completely evil, per say. She'd never actually attempted to kill anyone, though she would have liked to many, many times. Her father worked as a nice substitute for death of the unfortunate people who happened to get in her way.
While most children Kira knew well were suffering with things like attempted suicide, Kira would much rather torment her mother with the thought of her being around forever. It was somehow threatening to Aleksandra to know her daughter would be around a lot longer than her. Being evil and strangely twisted, Aleksandra could have just killed Kira before the little girl had gone off to school, which Kira was sure her mother dreamt of doing, but she was always under her father's protection; protection that couldn't be crippled as long as Yevegniy Narimanov was alive.
As Kira turned 10, Aleksandra had gotten short with all the Narimanovs. She hated every single one of them for fawning over Kira as much as they did without paying a drop of attention to Aleksandra. What was so special about Kira? She was 10 years old and the most magic she'd ever performed was tormenting kids in the sandbox! Look at Aleksandra, she had gone completely evil for Yevgeniy. She was a Ravenclaw, not a Slytherin. But she had fallen in love with Yevgeni, turning her morals against what she had learned. But Kira! The girl was evil from the start, yet every single Narimanov was proud of her! Finally having enough, Aleksandra deserted the family and went home to her own parents. Yevgeniy was torn up for a month or two, but he quickly got over it. Some marriage.
Kira was now eleven. It was just about time for her to get her letter from Hogwarts. Yes, a Russian going to Hogwarts. Of course, Kira would have preferred over anything else to go to Durmstrang, where she wouldn't have to learn English and fit in with all those rotten Londoners, but she, alas, could not do so. She had to settle for Hogwarts. Naturally, a girl like Kira was sorted into the only house that suited her: Slytherin. Though her personality was that of a perfect Slytherin, she stood out immensely with her heavy Russian accent.
Kira's memory was profoundly astounding. She could remember everything anyone said to her in her first year, which she used to her advantage in her second. The sequel year was a bit less exciting than the first go had been, but she was saving up the excitement for years to come. Oh yes, the girl had many things planned for her future.
Her happy attitude would continue to follow her, even if the child-like happiness was slowly turning into pride and conceitedness. She was at home, and she knew she'd always be accepted here, if only by her companions. By third year, her mother was reported taken into custody. A teacher or two had caught her alone in the hallway, taking in to privacy, using thisandthat potion to get Kira to tell them of the wherabouts of her mother. What were the charges? Being a suspected Death Eater, that's what. Unfortunately, those potions worked all too well, and Aleksandra was ripped from her comfortable life with her family and hauled off to Azkaban. Of course, Aleksandra's family wasn't too pleased that she was the one in jail, whilst Yevgeniy remained safely at home. On one tragic morning, a letter was received by Kira Narimanova that read,
"Miss Narimanova,
We regret to inform you that your father was found dead at 1:33 yesterday morning. A neighbor called the fire department at 24:41 reporting smoke and flames from the Narimanov estate. The manor was in ruins and nearly everything was burned. Whatever has survived the disastrous fire is yours."
Kira read the letter over and over again before the shock had worn off. All she could recall that day was reading the letter at her house table, surrounded by her trusted friends, then screaming and crying in pain as she dropped to the floor at the loss of her closest and dearest friend and family member.
Her fourth year was when Kira became noticeably different from the rest of the crowd. She was more brooding, and she wasn't as social as she was when she first entered the school. Instead, she kept to herself and snapped at those who dared to talk to her. It was official - the loss of Yevgeniy ruined the Kira that was once in her place, and there was no denying it. Her fifth year only confirmed this, when the girl started to snap at even her closer friends.
In Kira's sixth year, people found out that not only had her father been killed, but her mother was in Azkaban. Of course, this was old news to Kira. But she never talked about it. The memory of her father wasn't a subject she ever wanted to discuss with anyone, and her mother wasn't even part of Kira's life anymore. But, some nosy little Ravenclaw found out about Aleksandra and made sure everyone knew. Now, in her sixth year, Kira was getting pity looks from even the Gryffindors, which angered the tennager even more. Things weren't looking bright for Kira.
Now it's Kira' seventh year, and she's looking to start up the life as she wants to know it. She missed her father terribly, and her boyfriend, Sergei, who was currently attending Durmstrang, which only worsened her mood. She's looking for those in power; she's thinking about who to associate with, and she's certainly wondering about each of her friends. Will her situation and attitude continue to get worse and worse?
Strengths:
Lying, analyzing, observing
If there's one thing that Kira is best at, it's lying. She could lie to anyone through her teeth. Well, everyone except her father, that is. Though Kira respected her father and was very strong even without him, he was her weakness. The only thing that could crack her was mention of her father. Just the name Yevegniy would ruin her.
Analyzing is her second strength. She could rip, pick, tear, and destroy anyone or anything given enough details. She would observe her enemies for an hour or so and would be able to figure out their personality, their weaknesses, and their strengths and use those against them. It was a very handy trait, especially for a girl with bad intentions.
A final strength of Kira is her ability to observe. She could be quiet and reserved when she wanted to, and in this state she'd be able to watch a scene and take in everything that was said or mention while also figuring out hidden meanings behind words. Quite the talent.
Weaknesses:
Listening to other's requests, complying with requests of elders, her father
Listening to other people's demands and requests was never a talent Kira possessed. She could do it if it benfitted her, but that was always rare, so she would normally just tune others out. But, all in all, listening wasn't something she was too good at.
Anyone older than her wasn't worth her time, in her mind. At least, as long as she didn't benefit from them. Her mother would always tell Kira what to do, and she'd just ignore her or tell her to do it herself. She was a little brat, but what would you expect of her?
Her father was her greatest weakness. A mention of him and Kira would be completely helpless and vulnerable. Most times she'd break out in anger and tears when he was mentioned. Though, this made her more powerful and even more dangerous. It was strange how her father could be her greatest weakness, yet her greatest strength.
Wand: 13 and 1/2" Ebony, Grindylow hair
Appearance:
Deeply dark brunette locks cascade down the sides of the girl's face. Different shades of brown complement each other, giving her hair definite texture and volume. Occasionally, though quite rare, Kira will have a charm or two on her hair, either changing the color or the style. Usually, the girl is against changes toward her hair, for she likes the look and feel it is at now. Most would say that Kira is a spitting image of her father, which she would repeat with profound pride. Kira is utterly thrilled her hair turned out to be that of her father's rather than the jet black her mother possessed.
Bright, piercing green eyes stare back at those who dare to look in them. The color, too, is that of Yevgeniy Narimanova. Aleksandra Novokova's are a steel blue, one that does not reflect the young girl's. This is only one of the many features that define Kira as most indefinitely Yevgeniy's daughter. In fact, looking only at Kira, it isn't quite so obvious that Aleksandra had half a say in how their daughter would look.
Kira's oval-shaped face displays her wonderfully vivid eyes well. Perched upon this shape is a ski-sloped nose resting atop of a perfectly shaped mouth, which is almost naturally formed into the shape of a smirk. Yes, the only Narimanova child certainly does flaunt her pride rather prominently.
Kira is rather tall, but not necessarily compared to those her age. She stands at about 5'9", a good height for a seventeen year old, and is quite proud of this. Her mother was rather short, her father quite the tower. Her curves are not so noticeable. Instead, Kira has the model-shape; straight stick who looks like she'll snap in half in a second. This is a quite unusual form for the daughter of two pure Russians, but Kira likes that it makes her stand out. She absolutely detests muggle clothes, and she would never scar her body with such a thing. Instead, she chooses the wizard brands that can be found in various shops in Diagon Alley, when she's not in her school robes. Though, with the strict rules of Hogwarts, it's rare to catch anyone in anything that's not school-related.
Her skin is rather pale and she can never get a tan, no matter what she does. Though, lucky for her pale skin, she rarely gets any type of blemish, and when she does, it's small and hardly noticeable. Just another gene that Yevgeniy Narimanov passed down to her daughter.
