Looking around her house, Crystal took a deep breath. She was happy to be home. She and Shay had come here right after the fight with Irvine at the manor, but despite the distance, Crystal was still shaking slightly. She was sure why, maybe it was the fact she had been so upset with Irvine, or maybe it was the fact that she had been actually scared of him for the first time in her life - not that she would ever admit that. But she had been unarmed and he had pointed his wand at her. Crystal wondered what would have happened if she would have had her wand with her.
Unlike when she had been younger, Crystal didn't much enjoy constant dueling. She wasn't afraid to use her wand, and she defiantly wasn't afraid to hurt Irvine, but being a mother put a whole new spin on everything. She couldn't go around fighting with everyone anymore. She had to be there for the kids when they needed her. And Nick. Crystal couldn't imagine life without him. Standing in front of the kitchen sick, Crystal thought about all that had happened that day. Shaylee, Emmy, Becca and Josh were staying with her and her family now, but crystal didn't care.
Crystal knew that the next time that Irvine came to visit there would be more word between them. She just hoped it wouldn't end in violence like today almost had. Running a small hand through her blond hair, Crystal closed her eyes. She hated Irvine with a passion, but was still a bit shocked with the way she had acted. And what about Cole? Obviously he thought it was all Crystal's fault that Irvine and Shay were fighting, but honestly it wasn't her fault. Irvine had screwed things up by himself, and Crystal had only jumped in to defend Shaylee.
Whipping a tear away that had rolled down her cheek, Crystal took a deep calming breath. Rubbing her eyes, Crystal decided she needed to talk to Nick. Opening her eyes, the small blond whipped her hands on her jean shorts. Bushing her hair out of her eyes, Crystal pushed herself away from the sick and started to head down the hallway to Nick office. She figured he would be there because she couldn't hear the television, and she knew the kids were all outside in the back.
Reaching the office door, Crystal leaned casually against the door frame. She watched him for a minute a smile slowly spreading across her small features. After a few moments Crystal knocked gently on the door frame. "Hey," she said with a semi smile. "Do you have a minute, I need to talk to you." Crystal smiled. "It's about Irvine Myers and how I may have started a small disagreement today in Shay's manor when I went to go get her."
