It was a Saturday morning, a few weeks before school was to start and yet again Hailey found herself alone with Hannah. She didn't know the reason for this, and she hadn't talked to her friends or even seen them for about a month now. Maybe it was because they were all out having fun somewhere while she had to stay home and take care of her five month old daughter. Hailey sat in the middle of her bed, with Hannah lying in front of her. As she changed her diaper and put on a little outfit, she thought about all the things she needed to do today. She needed to go buy food for the two of them, she needed to get the laundry done, and some other little things around the house.
As Hailey finished getting Hannah ready, she let her stay in the middle of her bed, watching her at all times while she herself put a pare of jean and a pink t-shirt on. Brushed her teeth, and pulled her long blond hair up into an elastic. Grabbing her purse and slipping into her shoes, the were both ready to her out the door. Placing Hannah in the stroller that her mother had brought her, they headed out the door and out into the streets.
Hailey was well known around this little village she lives in, basically everyone who lived there was a muggle as is really nice. The old ladies that live beside her, take care of her like she was their own, and she's grateful for that. They help her take care of little Hannah, and she wouldn't know what to do without them. Hailey walked down the street and turned the corner to the groceries store. She never bought a lot, but she bought what they needed, and her favorites. Walking through the ales, Hailey grabbed what she needed. Milk, eggs, bread, peanut butter, cookies, some baby food, more diapers, and things she could cook for dinner that week. She wasn't sure of what else she wanted, so she continued around the store.
As she turned to go down the next ale Hannah had started to cry. Stopping, and placing everything down that she had in her hands Hailey took Hannah out and cradled her in her arms. "Shhhh, it's ok" She said she she tried to calm her down, and place all the food into her stroller instead of it being on top. Hails was used to this, every time she came here to buy her groceries Hannah cried at least once. She was getting good at handling the baby and doing more then one thing at a time. "Shhhh, Hannah, it's ok, " she said in a soft loving voice.

Why was he hear? Out of all the places he could have possibly been, out of all the things he could have been doing on a Saturday morning, Tyler Berkly found himself aimlessly wandering up and down the aisles at a grocery store. Not only was he in a grocery store, but he was in a muggle grocery store. How twisted was that? If anyone in his family ever found out, chances were that he would be disowned and shunned from everyone.
Walking with his hands in the front pockets, Tyler wore a pair of faded jeans and a black t-shirt. Around his neck, he wore a silver spiked necklace that his sister had got him for Christmas the year before. His hair was still damp from his shower that morning and rather messy, and he hadn't bothered to do anything with it. Pushing a hand through his hair, Tyler sighed heavily. Honestly why was he hear? It wasn't like he was going to find anyone he knew. But maybe he could find someone to torture - that would amuse him. At least for a little while.
Turning down the next aisle, Tyler heard a baby start crying. Rolling his eyes, Tyler shook his head slightly. However, as he saw who was holding the baby, he smiled slightly. Her name escaped him, but he knew she went to Hogwarts. He'd had a few classes with her over the years since she was in his year, but she was a Ravenclaw and him a Slytherin. But then again she was hot. Heather? Was that her name? No that wasn't it. Making his way closer to her, Tyler searched his mind for her name. Maybe if he had paid more attention he would have remembered it.
Hailey! That was her name! Smiling, Tyler stopped walking as he came up next to her. "Hey you," he said softly next to her ear. He didn't know her that well, but Tyler did admit that he'd been admiring her from a far now for many years. And now that she was alone and not surrounded by her friends, he figured what would be the harm if he was to turn it up a notch. "Looks like you're having some trouble. Need some help?" Tyler asked actually meaning it. "Is she you're baby sister?"He asked not really knowing who the little baby was.

"Shhh, Hannah, it's ok, i'm here." she rocked the baby back and forth slowly trying to calm her. It usually worked, but for some reason it just wasn't working today, at that moment when she needed it too. Hailey was to occupied with the baby to hear anyone come up behind her. As they said something softly in her ear she jumped a little and slowly turned around to see who it was. He's face looked familiar, she'd seen him around school a few times, and they'd had a few classes together, but they never really talked all that much. Maybe a few times at parties in the school, but nothing more then that. She knew his name, who didn't? She found it rather odd that he was in this muggle grocery store, especially this one. She didn't normally see anyone from school around here, but it was a nice change.
"Hello, Tyler right?" she asked just to make sure she had it right. She hadn't seen him for a while, and yet she still found herself loving his features, but no one knew that, except her best friend. "Troubles? this is nothing knew, but normally she isn't like this. I'm getting pretty used to doing things on my own, and multy tasking. It's not as easy as it looks." she said as he stated it looked like she was having some problems. Hailey had no idea why he was trying to be nice to her, it wasn't really in his nature to be nice, from what she gathered at school. But then again it was nice having a male being nice to her finally.
"No, " she looked away from him in fear of what he would say. "She's not my sister." she paused. "This is Hannah, she's mine." she said not to loud. Hailey slowly looked back at him, who was she trying to kid, what did it matter what he thought, when did it ever matter any more what anyone thought. "Help? ya that sounds nice, but the only people that ever offer to help me is the two little old ladies that live beside me, but if you have nothing better to do, ya sure i wouldn't mind some help. It'd be a nice change." She smiled as she continued to cradle the little baby in her arms. Hannah had slowly started to quiet down, and for that she was thankful. Hailey didn't normally like to draw the extra attention, but was getting pretty used to it now.

Tyler smiled at Hailey as she said that this was normal for the little baby girl to be crying. He continued to smile as she talked. Hailey had a nice voice. Quiet and gentle. Not like some of the other girls in his year. Tyler shivered slightly remembering this one girl with an extremely manly voice in his house he enjoyed yelling at him and scaring the crap out of him whenever she could. Shaking himself out of his thoughts, Tyler listened to what Hailey was saying. It sounded as though she was living by herself. Had see been kicked out?
As Hailey said that the babies name was Hannah, and that she was in fact Hailey's baby. Tyler had to admit that he was a bit shocked. But then again who was he to judge? "Hey baby Hannah," Tyler said leaning in a bit closer as if to see the little baby girl. But instead being the guy he was, Tyler stole a peak down Hailey's shirt. What? Could you blame him? He was a Berkley and a guy. It was in his nature. Standing back up, Tyler wondered if Hailey had noticed him look down her shirt. Maybe maybe not. Who knew.
"How old is she?" Tyler asked with a smile as he looked into Hailey's eyes. As he waited for an answer, he let his eyes wander around the store then back to Hailey then baby Hannah who he noticed was becoming quieter. Running a hand through his long shaggy hair, Tyler, smiled. "Well just let me know how I can be of assistance," he grinned. Waiting to be told what to do, Tyler was glad that he had found something to do today. And with a pretty girl too! Man his life was good.

As Tyler leaned in closer to the baby Hailey smiled. He was so cute, just the little actions he did but Hailey never told anyone what she thought of him, it was bad enough having people judge her about the baby, let alone her might having a small crush on the Slytherin boy. She could only imagen the thoughts that were running through his mind. Tyler had gone a bit quiet after hearing that Hannah was infact her own, but she didn't care. It wasn't like it was the first time anyones done that to her since having Hannah. "Hannah's five months old." she replied to his question. Hailey smiled down at the little baby in her hands, she was thankfull for her in so many ways that she couldn't explain.
Hails laughed at what Tyler had said, it wasn't the fact that what he said was funny it was more the way and the words he used. It took her a few minutes to think of how he could actually help her. Smiling Hailey looked at Tyler. " Here, " she said as she handed Hannah over to him, "Hold her, that why i can't get what i need and get out of here, " she smiled. Hailey figured this would be quite amuzing to watch, seeing as he looked like the type of person that wasn't really around younger kids, let alone babies much. In way this was almost a little test for him, to see how good he was with kids, and to see if it was worth befriending him.
Not giving Tyler much of a choice, Hails began to go up and down the rest of the ailes grabing the things she needed. After a few minutes she looked over her shoulder and smiled back at the two of them. She couldn't help herself, he just looked so darn cute holding a baby. Hailey began to laugh quietly to herself about it as she continued down the aile.

Tyler continued to watch Hailey as he waited for her to tell him what to do. Before long Tyler heard Hailey's soft voice telling him to hold the little baby girl. "Sure," Tyler said with no hesitation. It made sense that it would be quicker if Hailey didn't have to worry about Hannah while she got the things that she needed so they could get out of the store sooner rather than later. Gently, Tyler extended his arms to take the small bundle from Hailey. Once he had the small baby comfortably resting in his arms Tyler smiled down at Hailey. It wasn't like this was his first time holding a baby. After all he had a large family with a lot of younger cousins that were always running around his house.
As he followed Hailey down the aisles, Tyler cradled the baby using one of his hands to gently stroke the small child's hair. He had learned from many experiences of watching his younger cousins that this tended to calm babies down and put them to sleep. Tyler smiled as Hannah slowly started to close her eyes and fall asleep. "She looks like you," Tyler commented his voice so that he wouldn't startle the baby which he held protectively in his arms. "Lucky girl." He grinned at Hailey, hopefully she would catch that compliment. But if she didn't, it wouldn't be the end of the world.
For being a seventh year Slytherin along with a Death Eater, Tyler had a soft spot for kids. He could be a jerk most of the time, and mean and evil to most. But he always found himself melting over kids. He had always known that he loved working with kids and was actually considering becoming a professor after he graduated from Hogwarts. He had also always known that he wanted to be a father. And surprisingly had a loving a naturing side to him even though he didn't look like he would. "What are you laughing about Miss Tanner?" Tyler asked trying to start a conversation as he pulled up beside Hailey after falling slightly behind.

Making her way down the aile, Hailey thought about what she needed and made sure she grabbed it. Smiling hearing what Tyler said, she thought it was really nice, but wasn't going to let him get away with it. "Was that a compliment that came from your mouth Mr. Berkly?" she giggled slightly as she grabbed a loaf of bread of the shelf and placed it in her cart. "Well thanks i guess, not every day someone says that to me." she said quite honestly.
Looking beside her as Tyler pulled up beside her she continued to laugh as he asked her why she was. "No reason really, mainly just because you look so darn cute holding a five month old baby. That's all..." she continued to look at him trying her very best not to laugh louder. "But i'll have to say, you aren't that bad with them, most guys wouldn't know how to even hold a baby." she laughed at the thought. Grabbing the last thing she needed off the shelf Hailey headed for the cashes.
Placing the items up on the counter Hailey continued to smile. She knew the lady that was working the cash really well, she was always working when Hailey and Hannah came on saturdays. Seeing the lady smile as she saw Hailey was with Tyler, she smiled back and shook her head as if to tell her no he's not my new boyfriend, he's just a friend helping me. Picking up her bags full of food, and placing them in the stoller, Hails paid and headed for the door. Once outside Hailey stopped walking and waited for Tyler to say something or to even give her her baby back.

"Maybe it was," Tyler said with a devious grin as he looked back down at Hailey. Taking one of his hands away from Hannah, Tyler pushed it through his shaggy brown hair, then placed it back around the small baby girl still cradling her protectively. "Well you're welcome. It takes someone special to get a compliment from me," he said with a grin averting his eyes from Hailey so he wouldn't have to face her while she realized he had just given her yet another compliment. Tyler took a deep breath. Had he really just given Hailey two compliments within five minutes? It was true what he said though, she was very pretty and she was special. But was it possible that Tyler was starting to fall for Hailey more than he had first thought he would?
Tyler blushed ever so slightly as Hailey said he looked cute holding a five month old baby. "Thanks," he said quietly not looking at her. "I've got a large family and a lot of younger cousins that I"m always watching. Our family is pretty close you see, and we're always together.. so ye.." He trailed off with a small smile as he finally turned back to face Hailey. As they started to head toward the cashes, Tyler followed not sure what else to say. As they passed through the cash, Tyler noticed the cashier give Hailey that look. The look that Tyler had grown to know as the look girls gave to each other when asking about a boy they were with. However, Tyler acted as though he hadn't noticed the other girls look. Instead he casually scanned the headlines of the muggle newspapers. Nothing Interesting.
Looking up, Tyler noticed Hailey was headed out the door. Turning on his heel, he walked quickly to catch up with the Ravenclaw girl but smoothly so that he wouldn't wake baby Hannah. Once he got outside of the store doors, Tyler blinked against the bright light. "So what are your plans for the afternoon love?" He asked not really wanting to let Hailey get away with out first getting to know her better.
